FRAMOS – 30 Years of Innovation

Camberley, UK, 13th September 2011 – Image processing specialist FRAMOS has been setting standards in industrial image processing for 30 years.

FRAMOS’ dedication to the field of image sensor technology began early in its development in 1982 and it was quickly able to offer its own products to include image sensors, camera modules and cameras. Driven forward by its guiding principle, ‘Teaching machines to see’, the company continues to uphold this spirit of innovation and development today, shaping its three areas of business: imaging processing components; engineering for development projects, and complete image processing solutions.

“For a family-run business like ours, the people with whom and for whom we work are the most important factor,” stresses Bernd Franz, founder of the company. “This is what differentiates us from the competition.” World-class technology is convincing in itself, but its true value is only realised when it is actually put to use by people. “For us this means, for example, that first of all we listen and don’t impose our opinion on our customers,” says Franz. “We therefore aim for long-term business relationships, and respect the individuality of our customers, employees and suppliers.”

CEO, Dr. Andreas Franz expects that further new products, services and ideas will continue to grace the FRAMOS portfolio for the foreseeable future. The company also has new target markets such as Eastern Europe, The Middle East and China in its sights. “We are only just in the early stages of exciting new developments in image processing and are grateful to be able to play our part in this growth industry, and so have the opportunity to create more jobs and a brighter future.”
