Supertex has introduced a thirty-two channel high voltage analogue change-over switch.
From logic-level control, the HV2808 can switch signals in a 200V span set anywhere in the range +/-160V.
Pass bandwidth is dc-50MHz, and isolation is 60dB typical at 5MHz. On-resistance is in the range 20-30? depending on rail voltages.
"It is for use in medical ultrasound imaging systems as a probe selection device. It replaces the typical electromechanical relays performing the probe selection function and takes up less PCB area, emits no audible noise and increases system reliability," said the firm.
Switches are arranged in a sixteen-pole, double-throw array, and it comes in a 8x8x1mm package.
Quiescent current is 10uA, and the chip can switch from one probe to another in around 30µs.
