Deloitte Technology names Nujira as the fastest growing company in the Cambridgeshire and East region.
The envelope tracking wireless power firm was ranked the sixth fasting growing company in the UK.
The big market opportunity for Nujira’s power management technology is the rollout of 4G cellular basestations and TV broadcast transmitters.
“Nujira’s growth demonstrates that companies with technologies that address real market needs and provide compelling business models can prosper even in an economic downturn," said company CEO Tim Haynes.
"We closed a new funding round this Spring, with support from new and existing investors which has allowed us to continue hiring talented engineers>" said Haynes.
Haynes is eyeing a potential market for the company's technology which is 800 million 4G mobile phones by 2016.
The Cambridge-based firm’s Envelope Tracking technology for optimizing the power consumption of mobile basestations was initially developed as a module for basestations.
In the last two years the company has integrated the technology into silicon for use in mobile phone handsets.
"Nujira’s vision is to install its Coolteq wideband Envelope Tracking technology into 800 million energy efficient 3G and 4G devices over the next 5 years," said Tim Haynes, Nujira’s CEO
The Fast 50 ranks the country's 50 fastest-growing technology companies based on percentage growth in revenue over five years.
Nujira achieved 4487% growth during this period, and appeared sixth in the UK Fast 50, winning the Cambridgeshire and East region outright.
